best golf vacation package for Golf Cruise Vacations

Did you know that Carnival Cruise Lines offers one of the best golf vacation package for Golf Cruise Vacations?  I just returned from a trip to the Bahamas on the Carnival Sensation.  This trip was planned by my wife and you can bet that Golf was the furthest thing from her mind when she scheduled our trip.As we left for our Bahamas Cruise Vacation, I didn’t know anything about the ship we were traveling on and I definitely didn’t know that there is a Golf Course on the ship waiting for me to tee up!  Yes, the ship has a real Golf Course right on the top floor.

It was during our visit to Atlantis Resort Paradise Island when I found out my trip could have included some great Golfing Experience.I was having a great time with my family So, don’t get me wrong, I would not trade this quality time for anything.  But, I would have loved to squeeze in a few rounds of Golf.  The Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island has some great Golfing options that my wife seemed to leave out of her planning.I was talking to another dad on the beach and I found out that I was missing out on some great golf on the island. I also found out that I was missing out on some great golf on the ship.  The Carnival Sensation from port Canaveral has its own little Golf course on board and I had no clue.

I knew I would not be able to break away for golf there on the Island but I had in my mind that I would get my chance at Golf on the Sensation.  After returning to the ship, I met up with the Cruise director and she gave me all of the details of where this Golf Course was located and what I needed to do to get in the game.I really didn’t know that it would be so hard to break away to enjoy one little round.  There were 2 days left on my trip and every time I had a chance I made my way toward to Lido Deck to try to get in a round or two.  Every time I made a break for it, I ran into my wife or one of my children and for the remainder of the trip I had no luck at breaking away for my round of Golf.

I am telling this story to help other husbands and dads in advance of their Cruise.  If you are going to travel, you want to do your homework.  Find out if the Cruise Line offers any Golf Vacation Packages.Get this information now before you even go on your cruise you can start talking to your wife trying to convience her to let you break away for a couple of rounds.

So now that you know that Carnival Cruise Lines offers one of the best golf vacation package for Golf Cruise Vacations you should be able to include Golf in your vacation.

The Attractiveness Of Golf Vacation Resorts

without comments

Nowadays, those who really love the sport of golf and want to be able to play it whenever they go on vacation have an intriguing opportunity in front of them. The attractiveness of golf vacation resorts to these people can’t be overstated. Some of these destinations combine a world-class golf course with a beautiful resort experience. There’s really very little downside, for the most part.

What’s really attractive about the idea of a golf vacation resort is that these places are beginning to appear all over the world, and even in Scotland. The birthplace of the game features a few spots that include courses on which the game was played in the mid-1800s. For the best experience, though, the resorts in North America are the leaders of the pack, at present.

For those wanting to experience a true PGA atmosphere, and play golf on a frequent home of the U.S. Open, there’s nothing like one of the vacation destinations at Pebble Beach, on the Monterey Peninsula. Pebble Beach Golf Links boasts 7 courses and is the number one-ranked set of public courses in the United States.

The quality of the hotels at many of these golf vacation resorts is also four-star. North Carolina’s Pinehurst was the 2008 Travel and Leisure magazine Best Golf Resort award winner. Resorts like Pinehurst combine outstanding golf courses with equally outstanding luxury resort hotels that deliver on every promise. Both the courses and the hotels are truly four-star.

A dreamlike time at golf vacation resorts is well within the realm of possibility for many golfers, these days. And the resorts bring world-class golf courses together with the best in hotel lodgings in a way sure to please most any golf vacationer. What golf enthusiast would ever pass up a chance to play on a PGA-certified course and also stay at a top-level hotel, on the course grounds, at the same time?

Visit An Affordable Myrtle Beach Golf Resort

without comments

Do you play a mean game of golf (or do you just wish you did)? You may have your own favorite fairway, of course, but one of the great places to try playing your game in a new setting is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Myrtle Beach, known as the “golf city of the world,” has miles and miles of lush green fairway for you to try your hand on.

In the Myrtle Beach area, you can try out at least 120 different golf courses within about a 60-mile area. Myrtle Beach has both great golf courses and great beach areas. If you choose the Myrtle Beach as your vacation spot, you’re among good company. At least 14 million people yearly visit the Myrtle Beach area. In fact, those who golf say that its courses and greens are challenging and can be a great way to learn if you play golf yourself. Architects have landscaped and designed the various golf course layouts in Myrtle Beach to be functional and beautiful. The Myrtle Beach tournaments are also played at one of the many gorgeous golf courses. Golfing exhibitions, too, are held in the Myrtle Beach area for charity.

In fact, a recent study concluded that Myrtle Beach placed at the top as a golf course mecca. It received five stars out of a possible five, which isn’t surprising, given its obvious catering to the golf world.

If you’re still not certain, look for testimonials online from those who have played at Myrtle Beach’s golf courses. You can see for yourself just how wonderful they are before you actually take the time to go there and play yourself. If golf isn’t your thing (or if you’ve already played a great game and want to do something else), Myrtle Beach has many attractions that are family oriented, too. These are conveniently located around the courses so that you don’t have to go far. Watch the boats on the water, surf, or just sunbathe on the beach. Of course, the fun doesn’t stop there, and there are many more things you can do at Myrtle Beach, too.

In addition, Myrtle Beach has something for everyone in its dining experiences, attractions, and shops. If you decide to vacation here, you won’t be disappointed. Your visit will give you fond memories for years to come.

Myrtle Beach also has a flair for resort and hotel living, as evidenced by the many fine accommodations available. If you bring your family to Myrtle Beach, kids, too, can find something to do. There are attractions that are suitable for the whole family, not just for grown-ups or for those who love to golf.

If you want to travel to Myrtle Beach, you can contact a local travel agency in your area or surf the web to take a look at one of the many package deals available there. Some websites or package deals are meant more for those who love to golf, while others cater to a broader audience. Myrtle Beach also takes care of those who don’t bring their own golf equipment on vacation, and you can buy or rent what you need there.

Besides its definite attraction to golfers, Myrtle Beach is home to many events that satisfy nongolfers, too. Its beautiful scenery, lush accommodations, and myriad of events attract travelers from far and wide — whether they love golf or not. Why not see for yourself?

How Do I Plan A Great Vegas Golf Getaway?

without comments

Las Vegas is the ultimate destination for golfing fun, but with so many courses out there you can get dizzy just thinking of all the options. How do you even start the planning? Well, with a bit of organization and planning , you will be in for the trip of your life!

What’s great about Vegas is that you will get to play on courses that are probably a world apart from your home courses, in addition to the fact that Vegas is a city of fun! Glitzy casinos, fantastic restaurants, and glamorous nightclubs ensure you’ll have plenty of fun ways to spend your time after golfing. However, with all these choices, it can wear you out just thinking about it.

Deciding upon the activities which you’d most like to do while you’re there will help you to plan your time so you’re able to enjoy great golf,as well as all the fun extras Vegas has to offer. Planning ahead can be not only a big time-saver, but also will help save money as well.

As a golfer, your first order of business will be to make sure that you will be able to have your primary equipment, your clubs, safely on the plane and on to your hotel with you. When making your plane reservation, you’ll want to inquire about how your clubs will be transported on the plane. Most often, clubs will be treated as bulk packages, which may carry a fee, so you should ask about the fees and plan your budget accordingly.

The next step in planning your golf vacation should be deciding upon your accommodations. While it might seem logical to stay at a less expensive hotel and travel to the courses you like to play golf, Actually, it is often quite cost effective to choose your resort based on the courses available there,as most Las Vegas golf resorts offer excellent golf packages. By “staying where you’re playing”, you’ll also save money on transportation to the courses.

The other challenge faced by not choosing a full resort and golf package is your accessibility to the course of your choice. How disappointing would it be to find out that you need to shell out large sums of money at the course once arrived? The cost of choosing a full package with lodging will provide great benefits rather than going a la carte.

Choosing a golfing package can offer up some nice extra benefits, as the resort will often throw in show tickets, discounted meals, or , just maybe, even a helicopter ride! These extra freebies can give you even more ways to enjoy your free time in Las Vegas.

Planning ahead is the key to having a fantastic Las Vegas golf trip. Call around to travel agents, check for good golf package rates, and this extra planning will pay off hugely when you’re in Vegas having the time of your life on your ultimate golf vacation.

Golfing In Las Vegas

with 4 comments

Golfing in Las Vegas can be an experience of a lifetime with exotic views, fantastic greens, and challenging courses. When you plan a golfing trip in Las Vegas you should plan a trip of a lifetime. Take into consideration a few factors before booking your trip.

The most important factor when planning your golf trip in Las Vegas is the price. You can easily spend an abundance of money without trying in Las Vegas. So, you have to decide how luxurious you would like the trip to be. You can still have a fun and relaxing golf trip for a reasonable price if you plan it right.

Another thing to consider before booking your trip is the time of year you want to go on your trip. Certain times of the year are peak travel times for Las Vegas which means the average pricing will be higher. It is also good to try and avoid traveling when a convention is being held. This is because hotels will be crowded and many rooms will be booked.

Las Vegas is not only known for the casinos, lights, and gambling but it is also known for its great weather. There is hardly ever a day where it is not hot and sunny which makes for perfect golf weather. Even though it may be one hundred degrees outside, the green will still look great.

If you want to take your family with you to Vegas, then do not hesitate. There are many activities for children and teens as well as adults. Theme parks, circuses, exhibits, and roller coasters are scattered all throughout the strip of Las Vegas.

One thing to look out for is when you purchase a golf package through a hotel. Some of the packages limit your options on where you can actually play golf. If you are not interested in any of the courses the package has to offer then it may be better to purchase everything separately.

The service industry in Las Vegas is of the finest and most competitive to be found anywhere in the world. So be sure to tip generously form you taxi driver, room attendants and waiters to your caddy. Twelve percent is a good standard.

No matter where you golf or where you stay in Las Vegas, you will always remember your trip. Make it a trip worthwhile and enjoy all of the sites that the city has to offer. Do not settle for a golf course that you are not enthused about because there are many options to choose from. You can play at a challenging course designed by top golfers or you can play on amateur courses, itas all up to you.

Vegas, Vacations And Golf, Worry Free.

without comments

A Las Vegas trip can be the golf vacation of a lifetime. But if you haven’t thought things through you’ll spend more tme worrying than golfing. With just a little forethought, you can make sure your trip is worry free, keeping your blood pressure, and your score, as low as possible.

The first step is to take great care when selecting a golf package or a discount golf vacation. The abundance of courses in Vegas means there are plenty of courses to play. But not all courses are created equal. Spend extra time online reading reviews and making sure that you are playing and/or staying at a reputable course.

When you’re budgeting, make sure you leave yourself some room in your wallet for the unexpected. Vegas makes it easy to spend money, and there’s plenty you may have missed. A more basic golf package might make it easier to have a good time without worrying you might have to win your trip home at the tables.

Some costs to consider might not be apparent at first glance. Standard expenses generally include caddies, gratuities, groceries, parking, and transportation to courses not on the resort. Make sure you budget some extra money for any expenses that might pop up.

Any golf outing requires packing a large amount of accessories, and many are only remembered after it is too late. Before you head to the airport make sure to pack things such as sunscreen, a hat, chapstick, band aids, sunglasses, and pain relievers. Leaving commonplace items such as these at home can have a big impact on your enjoyment of a round of golf.

Air travel can be tough, and travelling with golf clubs can be tougher, especially becauuse airline baggage policies for golf clubs vary from carrier to carrier. Use the Net to check into airlines’ policies beforehandm so you don’t have to leave equipent at the baggage check.

When you get to Vegas, and check in at your hotel or resort, make sure to inquire about any upgrades they may be offering, sometimes all it takes to get a better deal or a better room is just asking. Online reviews may tell you what upgrades other travellers got.

It’s hard to go wrong with a golf package, whether you’re on your own or with a group. That being said, a little attention to detail can make the difference between good and bad memories. A little planning up front can ensure a worry-free trip.
